The Parable of the Rich Man and a Wise Man

Once, one of the nobles turned to a wise man with a question:

“Tell me, the respected one, you are so smart, why are not you rich?”

To what the wise man, turning to noble’s expensive gold-embroidered kaftan, said:

“You see, dear kaftan, my wealth is inside, not outside. After all, when your master falls asleep, he does not take with him neither you, nor his servants, nor gold, nor anything else. And if he dreams of a tiger chasing him, he will have to flee in fear of that tiger, and not call his servants to help. Only the ability to run fast will rescue him in a dream from the tiger. If he has a dream that he is freezing to death during a winter frost, he will be shaking from the cold and will not be able to take and cover with thee – the warm kaftan. Only the ability to make fire would save him from the cold. True wealth lies in our abilities! They’re inside, outside is only their manifestation.”

The rich man, bewildered by the fact that the wise man speak with his kaftan, and not him, said:

“You’re insane! How can you talk with my kaftan and not see me – it’s owner?!”

To which the wise man smiled and said:

“That’s the way most people act. They speak with the bodies and do not see those who are their masters.”

Wealth – is an integral part of a person, it is his essence. Can it be said that Creator is poor? No! And we are all Creators in nature. The only question is, what prevents us from manifesting as Creators, to reveal own wealth in life?
